Prestone Wins 2015 American Package Design Awards for Sustainable Packaging
Prestone Press, LLC is honored to have received this award for a piece that we conceived with and printed for Aloha. The challenge was to construct an appealing outer box and product tray to hold three health bars on completely sustainable materials. Working in partnership with Neenah Paper we designed a one piece fold and glue construction that could be printed on 18 pt. Neenah Folding Board stock. Neenah Folding Board is FSC certified and 100% recycled. The paper is specifically designed for complex folding without cracking while offering great dimensional stability. The rich vellum and felt finishes also provide ideal surfaces for printing, embossing, foil stamping, die-cutting, and gluing.
The American Package Design Awards is one of the fastest growing design competitions that spotlight areas of excellence and opportunity for creative professionals. The reason for this is simple but profound: marketers are challenged as never before to convey their message. Package design and Point of Purchase graphics are increasingly the difference makers in consumer purchasing decisions. This completion celebrates well-designed graphics, of course, but also the power of design to advance the brand promise and forge an emotional connection with the buyer at the moment of truth.
This year’s entries for the competition soared to nearly 2,000. We are delighted to be recognized as one of the highly-selective Certificate winners.
