Sustainability

Reduce.
Reuse.
Recycle.

Every year new digital printing technology emerges, aiming to find the latest ways to improve the printing quality while minimizing printing time and keeping it sustainable. The latest standard for printing is inculcating the 3Rs- REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE.

Today we offer end to end sustainable solution to our customers with respect to:

  • Eco-concious and FSC certified media

  • Sustainable sourcing

  • Orderless prints

  • Technology auditing

  • Non-hazardous and non-reactive inks

  • Healthy workplace

  • Indoor air quality

  • Recycling and proper disposal management

  • Low impact lighting

  • Recognized certifications

Some print manufactures strive to help reduce the climate impact of their supply chain, operations, and products and solutions. Since 2006 when we began moving from traditional analog printing to more sustainable digital processes, Prestone has partnered with HP, a print industry leader that has the commitment and the scale to address current-as well as anticipated-environmental needs, and to continue leading change in printing. HP is recognized among the 2020 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World and has achieved multiple other sustainability awards year after year. HP launched the first water based inks for signage in 2008 and these inks were the first to have GREENGUARD Gold certification, which now has become a standard.

HP prints are:

  • Recyclable

  • Non-hazardous and safe for disposal

  • Returnable

Reducing prints overall impact on the environment

Water based inks are designed to avoid the hazards associated with traditional printing inks. In most competitive inks, up to 80% of the eco-solvent ink formula is made up of a volatile organic solvent listed as a Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP) by the EPA. The high volatility of this compound in high concentrations always results in significantly higher levels of VOCs than our water based inks. Our solution prioritizes the health and safety of both our operators and customers, as well as reducing print’s overall impact on the environment.
